Artist Bio

The Inspiration for my Paintings is all around me. Whether it’s simply walking through my neighborhood, relaxing by the ocean or cruising on the Intracoastal Waterway near my home, the artistic stimulation here in Florida is unending.

Acrylics, Oils and Watercolors had been my primary mediums for years, but Alcohol Inks has been my main focus since 2016.  I love their Vivid Color and Luminosity.  Alcohol Ink is a Highly Addictive medium! It’s all about the Color, Color, Color!

  Art has been my life longer than I can even remember, apparently! After recovering from a debilitating accident a few years ago, I found my “First Grade Report Card” in a box at my parent’s Ohio home. I was surprised to see that my teacher had written “Exceptional Art Ability” on it all those many years ago. I knew in my soul that I had to get back to my Art and heal.

Getting back to my art was a good call. Within 1 year I had sold many originals, won 2 Awards of Merit in Exhibits at Venice Art Center for my Alcohol Ink Paintings, and was the featured artist in Florida Weekly magazine. I participate in the Venice Art Center Annual Fine Art Show and Sale and won Best of Show a few years ago. I am honored to have been selected to show my work in several VAC Solo Galleries which include Made in Italy Restaurant, Inn at the Beach, and two times at Venice Theatre. In November 2021, my art was featured in the “Venice Gulf Coast Living” Magazine.  In the Spring of 2022, I began teaching Alcohol Ink Classes at ArtSpace at Nellies in the Brickyard Plaza, Venice, FL.  I recently won an 2 awards for my art at Englewood Art Center, Ringling School.

Yes, my Art has taken on a high Priority…
