Artist Bio

Jason Paul Wightman attempts to capture special moments in paint.  He wants others to experience the way he sees moments of life and beauty in Florida seascapes and landscapes.

BIO

Jason Paul Wightman grew up on the water in Rhode Island as a surfer and artist.  His art is a reflection of a life continued on the water as a Florida fishing guide.

Originally drawn to The Sunshine State for college, Jason earned a  B.F.A. from the University of Tampa with with a concentration in painting and graphic design.

Jason uses his classical training to build on his abstract expressionist style, imbuing it with an exaggeration of color and shape.  Jason continues to split his time between the water and canvas, and he also guides his two young daughters in the finer points of finger painting and brush strokes.
